Dear Ms. Ilareen,
I looked at this photo a number or times before deciding to critique. I was looking for the story behind the photo. Was the droplet reaching for the light? Was the juniper trying to pull the water back? Once I thought about it I liked the photo better than at first glance. Story is important to me.
Originality is only a three because there are lots of macros of water drops out there. Three in my box this morning. However this is the best of the three.
Technique is very good. The drop of water is the center of attention as it should be. I liked the way the green pulled the eye left while not taking away from the subject. If you could change one thing I would have liked a little sharper focus on the water and the very end of the juniper. Just my opinion of course.
Over all the impact is high. You made me stop, think and come back to the photo. I also stopped and looked at your gallery again to look at your other work.
